- We love you David! :)
- Russ Musgrove - rhkmusgrove@internet.look.ca of
Thornton, Ontario, Canada
- I've just listened to Halfway to Memphis for about the
5th time since I got it in the mail last week. Wow. A reaffirmation
of my love for roots based music. Guess I'll have to move to France
to hear it on the radio or stay up late on Saturday night for Holger
Peterson's show. This is my first encounter with David's music. I
took a blind chance. I thought, Michael Burke seems to have good
taste in artists so what the heck. Money well spent.
- Sean Burke - sean.burke2@sympatico.ca of
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
- Hey man! Had a great time on the Eastern version of the Back-2-Back-Guitar-Attack!
Too bad it was so short...Look me up next time you're in our nation's
capital - cya soon.....

- David, can hardly wait to do another interveiw with you when your
back in this area. Love your new cd and am playing it on my show.
- Eva Kral - realcom@hotmail.com of
White Rock, British Columbia, Canada
- Wow Dave, nice to see you doing so well. We haven't had a chance
to catch your shows as of late; you know about kids - our's is almost
3 so those weeknight club shows - Yale last week - are quite unmanageable.
We were looking for you at the last Jeff Beck show, but didn't see
see you (although we expect you were there). We're just about to
pick up your latest CD. So, even though you don't see the old gruesome
threesome standing front and center, we're always following you.
Cheers, Dave, see you soon, Eva, Don, and Marv.
- Shelley - works@hwy16.com of
Vanderhoof, British Columbia, The Great White North
- Hello. (spoken with a KH accent!) Fond memories of that old Shure
mic and Baycrust amp set up in the kitchen. Loved the show. Loved
the mini party afterwards. Loved the Cappuccino jokes. Looking forward
to seeing you again in June at 4th Ave Blues. You have to wear your
pink satin VV shirt! It's happenin man! We'll all show up in the
mohome and party til dawn!
- Big "G"-CHLY - radio@mala.bc.ca of Nanaimo, British Columbia,

blues list. Nightlife is one of my faves.
- John - wolverine_xmen@hotmail.com of

- I came across your Dine Under the Stars CD while purusing
the blues CDs at the library. After hearing that, I have bought all
your discs and I've seen you play here three times and each time
is different. Man what can I say except that "You Are The Man
And You Rock"

- Hi David You may or not remember me but I was introduced to you
for the first time in North Bay Ontario, at Wylder's Music Hall and
have had the opportunity of seeing you and your band many times after.
If you recall we met again in Tweed Ontario at the "Buzzfest",
then again at the Townehouse here in Sudbury. I then had to go to
Ottawa on business and caught you at the Rainbow Room. Well I thought
that I had seen you enough, but while in Prince George, you performed
at the 4th Avenue Blues Kitchen at it's grand opening. You will recall
that I had blond curly hair. Now I read that you will be performing
a number of shows "out west" with another "friend" Tony
D. Now I cannot remember how many times I met Tony, but to see that
you and Tony are perfoming together made me wonder when are you and
Tony coming back to Northern Ontario? We've missed you both a lot
up here. We miss your music and really look forward to seeing you
both real soon. Keep up the Good tunes, have a scotch on us and perhaps
a little Payoty?? Your friend Wayne

That's too bad... I know there were lots of people looking forward
to your June shows.
Ed Note: none of Gogo's fans will miss him on this tour - he
and Tony D will play the June 15th and 16th dates at Good Time Charlie's
(Days Inn). Showtime is 8:00 PM...

my tickets for your show with Buddy Guy June 26 in Edmonton.
Going to be a great nite see you there.
- 3 Peckered Toad - stickswinger9@netzero.net of
Wakefield, PQ, Canada
- Hey you crazy coot! Who'd you blow for those Buddy Guy gigs? Hmmm
. . . those Double Trouble gigs will be very interesting, too . .
. How's Tony Pepperoni holding up? He's gonna be in great shape flying
in on the day of Canada Day . . . I'll have the scotch lined up for
him! Hmm . . . no Red Deer gig on this tour, eh? If I don't get a
performance of "Red Deer Lady" before the end of the summer,
I'm gonna beat that song out of you with Chewbacca's guitar!!! So
Joe Juneau's a Hab, eh? That Gillett dude scares me - he ain't got
no jack. He'll be broke in 2 years & Molson's will bail him out and
then they'll move the team to Sainte-Marie-Claire-De-Poutineville & they'll
play their games on the outdoor rink and they'll hire Jos Louis to
coach & . . . oh shit - I'm flaming out - WAR - Lunch with the Monkey
- LATE! OUT! Oh ya - the new album is great - thanks again! I won't
see ya at Tremblant (My chick, Nelly Furtado, has me on a rigorous
Tae-Bo & Tequila regimen!) - definately see ya in August!
- John Steele - jsteele@uniserve.com of

here (damn the distributors!) See ya... :)
- Ross - rossneilsen@hotmail.com of
Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada
- Hey David... just checkin out Halfway to Memphis...it's
awesome. I live in the east coast & I'm wondering if you'll ever
make it out here? We have a good blues fest here in the fall - Sept
- but some of the organizers are kind of jaded as far as what gets
booked. You folks should be playin out here! Ross.
- Sharon Shupe - shupielives@home.com of
Calgary Alberta, Canada
- HEY DAVID!!!! I've taken the advice you gave me - I'm in the process
of making a "Shupie's Law" sticker and I'd like to send
one to you for your guitar. Could you please email me your snail
mail address and I'll get it off to you right away. I have friends
in Lethbridge and I've already told them they MUST SEE YOUR SHOW
in August!!!!! I also have friends in Montreal and I'm urging them
all to catch you at Mt. Tremblant in July (I wish I could be there
myself - it's a spectacular venue, hey?) David - I love your stuff
- love telling all my friends about ya - But most of all, I love
my big brother McKay for bringing me to see you and the Persuaders many
long years ago in a 20-seat club with no cover charge... you just
keep getting better and better! Looking forward to the next time
we meet! Your faithful fan forever, Shupie

- Celinda - celindarice@canada.com of
Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada
- Being David's number one groupie (without the sex), I am sorry
I won't be able to go to Queen's in Nanaimo (busy working). But I
will try to make to The Commodore. Of course I'll make it to The
Blue Fest in Maple Ridge, and being from Ladysmith, I'd love to make
it there, as well as the PNE. David I love you. Hope all is still
well with your beautiful family. All the best, you are number one.

much longer I'll be able to afford to hire you!!! Love your Halfway

- David & Cheryl Dominey - daveandcheryl2001@hotmail.com of
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
- David... we saw you perform July 8th with Double Trouble at
Legends in Victoria. You were incredible. We thank you for taking
the time to chat with us, just as people were starting to come in.
We were sitting there while you were looking for your CD's. We then
bought one that we are throughly enjoying... we love you !!! Keep
up the great work. PS... my fav song off the CD has to be Nightlife Awesome!!!!!!!!
- Kerrie - kerriew@sympatico.ca of
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
- Hi, David. I just got back from a weekend trip to Tremblant where
I caught not one, not two, but three of your shows. Blew me away.
Totally awesome. What can I say? Words fail me. Besides, what can
anyone say about a guy who does such amazing things with a bottle
o'Molson? (Well, ok, you're cute too.) Catch you next time.
- Rita - rklassen@kpmg.ca of
Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada
- My husband & I saw you at the Orpheum with Buddy Guy & Tony D
on June 30th. AWESOME show David!!!! (You actually smiled at me,
over by the CD table :) The last song you did with Tony, I'm Going
Down was FABULOUS!!! I'm going crazy trying to remember who the
original artist of that song was ... can you help? - big fans, Gary & Rita
- Someone - from British Columbia, Canada
- I know this isn't a chat line but Bruce Springsteen did a song
called I'm Going Down on his Born in the USA album
which is an awesome song. I don't know if that's the one David did
bx, unfortunately I wasn't there but it could be... And I agree with
Kerri?... David IS cute :)
- Robert Daoust - rob_daoust@hotmail.com of
Masson-Angers, Quebec, Canada
- David blew the crowds away at Tremblant, like Kerrie said, with
the bottle of beer slide thing and his walk through the crowd playing
his guitar. They sold all the Gogo CDs and could have sold more.
By the way all the guys in the band played great.. Yvon Lambert sure
knows who David Gogo is now. #10!! HE SHOOTS HE SCORES!
- Kim Angel - kimdangel@home.com of
White Rock, British Columbia, Canada
- Hey, hey, hey Daddy-O!
- Christopher - breezeisgood@hotmail.com of

- Tremblant Blues Festival. Man, we ran around trying to catch your
second show. You are the man!!! Great style, great showmanship. I'm

Great show opening for Buddy Guy too. Hi from Andrzej and myself.
Give us a shout if you ever need a ryhtym section. We'll send you
a copy of our new CD. Say hi to Rick and Dennis.
- Karen Stolz - stolzkaren@hotmail.com of
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
- I saw you guys perform at Mont Tremblant Sunday, July 15. You
were fantastic. I love your music, and hope you return to Montreal
again. Wish you were on the radio out here. It would be good to hear
your music on MIX 96, in Montreal. I've seen your new CD in stores.
Good Luck. I hope to see you again.
- Kevin - richards@bigfoot.com of
Cardiff, United Kingdom
- Just a quick note to say that I just purchased all 4 DG CD's direct
from Cordova Bay - MP3's DO generate sales! Isn't it time DG paid
us a visit?
- Claude Michaud - claudecmichaud@videotron.ca of
Quebec, Canada
- Saw you in Mont-Tremblant. Great guitar work! A sound of it's
own. Love the Strat with the CH logo #10 - the flower.
Hope to see you play in Montreal.
- Tommy @ Bullseye fest. - ton@bullseye-blues-country.nl of
Panningen, The Netherlands
- Hey Dave, We really miss you over here, even "Austin Powers".
Bullseye 2001 is coming up and things are looking good. Thanks so
much for your great performances in the two 2000 gigs with "the
dutch guys". The back-stage bar lady from Moulin Blues says
hello also. Hope you and your family are doing ok.
Best regards from the Bullseye Blues Guys.
Oh yeah........ my kids are wondering when you are coming over for
Chili-Con Carne again. Bye for now, hope to see you soon, Tommy.
- Bruno Madsen - brunomadsen@home.com of
Maple Ridge, Canada
- Saw you at the Maple Ridge Blues Festival. Totally awesome! Never
seen anyone play the slide guitar with an umbrella before, but aside
from that , great raw blues. Keep it up, Dude.
- Celinda of Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada
- The Blues Fest blew everyone away! The rain can't stop the reign
of David (don't stop) Gogo. How's this one for a song? "We watched
The Commitments waiting for you to call. Now I'm all blue. I feel
I've let you down. I should've waited a little longer for you." Don't
quit my day job right. I love the new Halfway to Memphis!
Great feeling(s). Dave, you're a virtuoso.
- Someone - from France
- I play bass guitar and I learn with your album Dine Under the
Stars. It's great with a lot of energy. Thank you.
- Eric - eric.cole@eds.com of
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
- David: Saw you last night at Tuscons and the show was absolutely
amazing. Too bad for all those people that did not show. It's their
loss. Hope to see you again soon as you are truly one of the best
guitarists I've ever seen and I have seen tons of shows.
- Robert E. Daoust - rob_daoust@hotmail.com of
Masson-Angers, Quebec, Canada
- Thanks Dave, for a great show at Tucson's. The energy was awesome.
Keep up the crusade. One of these days everyone will know Dave rules...
Navan, what can I say. A beautiful Friday night and we had the best
blues around... Dave's band was the BEST on both nights... Au revoir...
- Mike Mason - Mason686@hotmail.com of
Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada
- Hey... I met David Gogo at the Petro Canada in Terminal Park here
in town - my former employee. I like David's music and I definetly
will support his albums. Including his only album for EMI - David
Gogo (1994). He is a real nice guy. I plan on going to see him
at the Queen's September 21st and 22nd. Bye for now... Mike Mason
- Brenda Irving - brenda@airving.com of
Saltspring Island, British Columbia, Canada
- Hey Dave, I guess this is the only way to say, "Hello YOU!".
Mom dropped by and left me this CD by some guy named Gogo! Sounding
good. Have read about you from time to time in The Gig and The Georgia
St... Andrew and I are loving our life here on SS - so anytime you
are over our way...check us out. We'll feed you and stuff! Hello
to your pa. Keep on rocken' Love and Laughter, Brenda
- Sylvain Chartrand - charsyl1@videotron.ca of
Ottawa, Canada
- I saw Gogo at Tucson bar this summer and it was unbelievable to
see a great player like that in a small bar. This guy is a real deal.
Awesome guitar player and great song writer as well. I can count
at least 5 songs with a hit potential. I set up a popular Internet
radio station and I play Gogo's songs often at www.dirtyblues.com
- N.P. of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada
- Southwest Gogo... :) Any plans for heading up to play in northern
BC (or close by) in the future? It'd be a good way to start off the
University semester for everyone up here...
- Claude-Andre Fortin - cafortin@mac.com of
Blainville, Quebec, Canada
- I saw your show at Mont Tremblant last summer. WOW!!! Incredible.
Even my kids (7 and 9) liked it. I haven't seen your cds in stores
here around Montreal. A guy at Archambault Musique told me that your
cds are available only as imports!!!
- Michael Burke - info@cordovabay.com of
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
- Claude-Andre, the person at Archambault who told you that Gogo's
CDs are only available as imports is totally wrong. They are available
and carried across the country.
It is true that our Canadian distributor went bankrupt in May this
year, but that problem has been corrected.
If anyone is looking for Gogo product and can't find it in stores,
please contact me and I will look into the problem. Don't forget
all of Gogo's products are available from our online
store, including rare EMI release material.
Thanks for the kind words regarding Gogo and for bringing the store
mis-information to our attention.
- Don Greenman - dlgreenman@bignet.net of
Allenton, Michigan, USA
- David, big fan of your music. Have only heard your Dine Under
the Stars and the CD with bullet proof vest on it.
You need to travel south of the border into Michigan so we can enjoy
your music and company.
- Paul - ppharper@home.com of
Victoria, Canada
- David, great show at Victoria`s Blues Bash on Sunday Sept 2nd.
I was already familiar with your work, but seeing you and your band
live for the first time has made us true believers.
In the age of very BAD radio music, seeing David`s live show was
a real breath of fresh air, bringing back memories of seeing Stevie
Ray Vaughn here at the Royal Theater many years ago. Speaking of
Royal Theatre, what about another show in Victoria this winter?
- Savannah Durkee - georgia_9@hotmail.com of
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
- Hiiii Gogo.....I hope Shi passed on a hello to you from me! I
didn't really get to tell you how much I really enjoyed your show
at the Jube (where I now work) but I did. You're awesome and I hope
I see you this way in the near future. I could always use some of
your brand of humour, which is THE best!! TTFN...
- Mike Myers: QuaziMojo Blues Band - mmyers@afpollution.com of
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
- Hey David! Great show at Ottawa's "Navan" Blues Day.
The new CD sounds great. The pics turned out great. Thanks for the
strings, man!
- Danny Sullivan - jive_puppy@hotmail.com of
Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada
- Mr. Gogo.... Checked out your performance with Double Trouble.
I just bought your latest CD. Great stuff... look forward to being
at another one of your shows!!!
It's nice to see some one who can sing and play an instrument...
and make in sound good for a change!
ps. Love the cover of This is a Man's World.
- Eric - ericcole@cyberus.ca of
